Kim Sun-ho dzīvo Ziemeļkorejā un ir raga pūtējs kādā no orķestriem. Viņa un viņa ģimenes dzīvi izmaina vēstule no vectēva, kurš izrādās nav gājis bojā karā, bet ir dzīvs un atrodas Dienvidkorejā. Viņi raksta viens otram vēstules, bet tas ģimeni pakļauj briesmām: DPRK slepenais dienests var šo saraksti atklāt.. Tāpēc tiek pieņemts lēmums visiem kopā bēgt pāri robežai.. uz dienvidiem. Kim Sun-ho draudzene paliek Ziemeļkorejā un viņš sola atsūtīt kādu tai pakaļ, tiklīdz būs šķērsojis robežu un kaut cik iekārtojies..

Nav viena naacija,nepiekritiishu,vienaa pusee ir cilveeki kuri dziivo pagaatnes atminjaas un otraa tie kas grib dziivot pilnveertiigu dziivi... 8)
